Roxanne Perez Wasn’t Certain She Would Be In WWE 2K23 Even After Scanning For The Game

Roxanne Perez is truly the shining star of the NXT Women’s division. This has been the case ever since she joined NXT last year. Perez made the most of her opportunity as she went on to beat Mandy Rose for the NXT Women’s Title on NXT last year, but eventually lost the title. That said, she is part of WWE 2K23 and it appears she was not certain about being in the game even after doing the scans.

WWE 2K23 has been a massive hit with fans, as the game boasts a massive roster comprised of stars from the main roster as well as NXT. More than a month after its release, the game remains beloved even now.

WWE 2K23 features quite a few talent from the NXT roster, including stars such as Bron Breakker, Carmelo Hayes, Zoey Stark, Cora Jade, and Wes Lee. Even Roxanne Perez made it to the game, which was not surprising for most.

While speaking with Fightful, Roxanne Perez revealed that she was not certain about being in WWE 2K23 even after doing scans for the game. Thankfully, Perez was included in the game.

”So, they did do scans. But they told us, ‘Hey, we don’t know for sure if you’re gonna be in the game, but just do a scan in case.’ So I was like, ‘Alright. Hopefully I’m in the game,’ and then I saw the announcement and I was like, ‘This is insane.’ I did a press conference and I was able to play the game as myself for the first time. I literally almost started crying because I was like, ‘This is insane to see myself in a WWE video game,’ games I used to play growing up as a kid nonstop. It’s insane.”

This marked Roxanne Perez’s first-ever debut in a WWE video game and it will not be the last. Perez was also part of the NXT Women’s Title ladder match this past week at Spring Breakin’, but wasn’t able to win the match. We’ll have to see what lies ahead for Roxanne Perez.
