Ronda Rousey made her return during the 2022 Royal Rumble event after a nearly three-year absence from WWE. Despite winning two championships after her return, none of her reigns were necessarily noteworthy. Now it appears that Ronda Rousey has been called out for not having enough interest in pro wrestling.
The former UFC star made her debut at WrestleMania 34, where she teamed up with Kurt Angle and squared off against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. While she impressed fans with her debut, they would eventually turn on her.
It has become evident that Ronda Rousey simply does not care about pro wrestling much, which has been pointed out by fans and veterans alike. She even had some very harsh words for WWE Creative over her feud with Liv Morgan last year.
Ronda Rousey simply has not been able to connect with the WWE Universe as she should have. While speaking on WrestleBinge, WWE Hall Of Famer Teddy Long talked about Ronda Rousey’s career in WWE. Long would point out how Rousey simply doesn’t have enough interest in pro wrestling.
“Well, I don’t know. I like her, I met her, she’s a real nice person. But she just doesn’t show that she has the interest in professional wrestling. I don’t think she ever had any steam.”
Ronda Rousey’s WWE Title plans are also on hold while she remains out of action due to a fractured forearm. It is likely that Rouse and Shayna Baszler will go after Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez’s WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships once Rousey is able to compete. We’ll have to see when Rousey will return to the ring.
