You never know when someone will take pro wrestling too seriously. It seems that Rush got in a bit of trouble recently when a few people saw a promo on AEW Dynamite and took it seriously.

During a segment on AEW, Rush and MJF were featured, with the latter receiving a briefcase full of cash from the “Salt of the Earth” to eliminate Bryan Danielson. As it turns out, the segment garnered significant attention from certain Mexican viewers.

Jose the Assistant tweeted out to let fans know that some people in Mexico took that bit seriously. Apparently, people were looking for Rush, because they wanted to steal his briefcase loaded with cash.

MJF gave Rush a briefcase full of money on national Tv and that week people in Mexico were looking to find out where Rush lived to go steal that money.

100% true story.

Jose was called out by one fan for lying to make Mexicans look bad. This was followed by Jose shutting down this fan while assuring them that this story is real.

You’re f*cking stupid. First off, I’m Mexican and my name is JOSE. Second, this is a true story. It doesn’t matter what nationality or race it is, it’s just people trying to steal.

Thankfully, it seems that those people didn’t find Rush and demand the money he used in that backstage segment. Tony Khan might have used a very realistic prop for that segment on AEW television, but he probably didn’t let talent actually keep the cash.

We’ll have to see what’s next in the wild pro wrestling world. Obviously, we never know what can happen next.

What’s your take on this situation? Would you think that the money Rush used was really his? Sound off in the comments!
