Vince McMahon is one of the most controversial names in the history of professional wrestling. He has ruled over WWE with an iron fist for decades and fans have gotten tired of him being in control. While many see him as a heartless robot, even McMahon was once left crying hysterically after watching a tribute video package.

The Executive Chairman of WWE has a lot of haters and there are many good reasons for that. Many people also believe he is a ruthless man who displays no emotions whatsoever.

While speaking with the Insiders podcast, former WWE creative director David Sahadi talked about a video he made during the Attitude Era that made Vince McMahon cry. The video featured legendary wrestlers from the past such as Freddie Blassie and Gorilla Monsoon discussing their time in the ring and their admiration for the younger generation.

Initially, Vince McMahon was not pleased with the idea and called Kevin Dunn to question David Sahadi’s approach to the video. McMahon believed WWE should be focusing on the newer stars instead of the old generation. However, McMahon eventually watched the video and was crying hysterically.

“Vince finds out and calls Kevin Dunn and says, ‘What the f**k is Sahadi doing with all these old timers up there in Albany, we’re about the new generation right now.’ Vince comes down to look at it about four days later and he’s as angry as can be … 10 seconds in, Vince is like, ‘Oh god, oh god, oh jeez, oh god,’ and he left before it finished. Vince was sitting down on the concrete floor just crying hysterically just saying, ‘Thank you.’ I think the reason why — I didn’t know at the time — but not only was it the spot of the passing of the torch from the old generation to the new generation, but I think from a visceral level, Vince probably felt like it was a passing the torch from his father to what Vince did. I think that’s why it resonated with Vince so much and it evoked so much emotion out of him.”

This is truly an interesting look at Vince McMahon, who is often viewed as heartless and barely a human being. Regardless, McMahon is now back in charge of WWE after selling the company to Endeavour and fans fear the worst now.
