Triple H revealed a new WWE World Heavyweight Championship on RAW this week, and that opened up a brand-new conversation within the fan base. Plenty have debated who should hold that title first, and it seems that WWE has narrowed it down.

While there are many standout performers on the WWE roster, Seth Rollins is certainly one of them. He has a match against Omos at Backlash on May 6th, but the Drip God could also have gold in his future.

Wrestle Votes recently spoke to GiveMeSport about the upcoming WWE Draft. During that conversation, it was said that Seth Rollins is the ‘leading candidate’ to become the next WWE World Heavyweight Champion and carry that new title.

With the new title, I’ve heard he’s a very strong candidate to be the first guy. No doubt about it, Seth is your leading candidate.

Seth Rollins was already in the conversation of names who are top prospects to carry the top title on whichever brand Roman Reigns isn’t on. Only time will tell how long the first WWE World Heavyweight Champion holds the title, but Seth Rollins would certainly be a good choice to hold that title.

Apart from Austin Theory, Seth Rollins was the only other Superstar to really focus on holding that new WWE Title. Cody Rhodes didn’t even mention the new title belt in his promo directed at Brock Lesnar. Obviously, a lot can happen between now and Night of Champions on May 27th when WWE will crown a new champion.

What’s your take on this new title in WWE? Do you think it will be considered as big as the Universal Title? Sound off in the comments!
