Naomi and Sasha Banks both walked out of WWE almost one year ago. They left due to Vince McMahon’s booking decisions. Now, Naomi is about to make her debut with Impact Wrestling.
Ringside News exclusively reported that Naomi would have re-signed with WWE if it weren’t for Sasha Banks. Trinity Fatu was going to ink a new deal, but then Mercedes Mone held out for more terms. That is when Mercedes started her own deal with NJPW.
PW Insider dropped a note behind their paywall to break some big news about Naomi’s future. It is reported that the former Women’s Champion in WWE will be jumping to Impact Wrestling. She will debut as Trinity Fatu for the company.
PWInsiderElite.com has confirmed that Impact Wrestling’s big Chicago surprise for their TV Tapings this weekend is the debut of former WWE star Trinity Fatu aka the former Naomi.
This would be Fatu’s first pro wrestling appearance since exiting WWE.
We have also confirmed this is not planned to be a one-time appearance and will be the start of a run for the former Smackdown Women’s Champion in Impact.
This is a bit of a surprise, and it will also be great for Impact Wrestling’s Knockouts Division. Trinity Fatu has been in some big match situations in the past and can bring a lot of veteran insight to the roster.
We’ll have to see how Naomi does in Impact Wrestling. There’s no doubt that she will be pushed to the top of the Knockouts Division. It will certainly be interesting to see what Impact Wrestling does with the former Total Divas star.
