AEW fans may be in for a shake-up soon, as rumors are circulating that the promotion has canceled one of its shows. According to reports, AEW will soon introduce a new brand and it appears that Dark Elevation could be on the chopping block.

As of this writing, AEW has four weekly shows for wrestling fans to enjoy. The promotion’s flagship show is Dynamite, which airs on TBS every Wednesday. Rampage, which typically airs on TNT every Friday. Additionally, the company has two YouTube shows, with Dark featuring pre-taped matches of more established AEW talent and Dark Elevation featuring matches from unsigned or local talent.

Dark Elevation aired a “Best of Elevation” episode on April 24, which featured nine matches that aired on previous episodes since its debut in 2021. In the description of the show shared by FITE TV, the episode was advertised as the “final” edition of Dark Elevation. However, AEW has yet to officially confirm the cancellation of the show.

During the episode, Tony Schiavone and Excalibur paid tribute to the show, noting that many AEW names used Elevation as a proving ground. While it felt like a look back at the show, there was no official confirmation that it was ending.

AEW is reportedly preparing to launch a new show that will air on Saturdays, which will likely be called Collision, as indicated by recent trademark filings. The introduction of this new show could be a reason for the cancellation of Dark Elevation.

While it remains to be seen if Dark Elevation has truly been canceled, there are rumors swirling that it has been. With the introduction of a new show, it is possible that AEW is shifting its focus and rebranding itself. It will be interesting to see what direction AEW takes in the coming weeks and if Dark Elevation is indeed coming to an end.

Ringside News will keep you updated if any other information becomes available.
