WWE NXT Title Match Booked For Battleground

NXT held their Spring Breakin’ special tonight, but the show didn’t end without setting up a huge match for their next special. Battleground will go down on Sunday, May 28th, and now we have a big NXT Title match in store.

Carmelo Hayes retained his NXT Title in a great match against Grayson Waller at Spring Breakin’. Then, when Melo was finished with Waller, he grabbed the microphone and called out Bron Breakker.

Hayes said that he didn’t care if Bron Breakker is a heel now, wearing black, and super menacing. The fact is that Battleground will be their next destination, and the two are going to war.

Bron Breakker answered Carmelo Hayes’ challenge by destroying him. The heel former NXT Champion jumped Hayes from behind before spearing him through the production set. This was a big way to re-start their rivalry, only this time Melo is the champion.

We will have to see how Battleground plays out. Bron Breakker is a guy who a lot of people can picture on the WWE main roster after the 2023 WWE Draft. Carmelo Hayes will obviously do what he can to retain his title as well.
