Wardlow quickly rose to prominence in All Elite Wrestling, establishing himself as a prominent figure and amassing a significant following in record time. He is also one of the biggest pro wrestlers in Tony Khan’s company and is physically imposing in many ways. Now it appears that he and Goldberg recently had a confrontation during a pro wrestling event.

For a long time now, Wardlow has been compared to WWE Hall Of Famer Goldberg in numerous ways. This especially had to do with the fact that Wardlow would win multiple squash matches early on in his career.

Wardlow became a three-time TNT Champion during last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite and fans were somewhat lukewarm about this as they believe AEW has ruined Wardlow’s momentum.

While speaking with Simon Miller of WhatCulture Wrestling at WrestleCon, Wardlow was asked if the rumor that Goldberg pointed at him and said, “You’re next” at the event had any truth to it. Wardlow then revealed that he was actually the one who pointed at Goldberg.

“I actually pointed at him and I said, ‘Bet your a** I’m not next.’ So yeah, you guys just missed it. Goldberg did walk through just a minute ago and we exchanged words. I do not know what’s happening behind the scenes, but we both mutually agreed that if the opportunity comes, we would love to see who really is next.”

Ringside News also exclusively reported that WWE is aware Goldberg might to to AEW. We will have to wait and see whether the WWE Hall Of Famer will end up debuting in AEW and squaring off against Wardlow.

What’s your take on what Wardlow said? Do you want to see Wardlow vs Goldberg in AEW? Sound off in the comments!
