WWE wants to make each fan’s experience unique and entertaining. Sometimes that means that they pull a few tricks along the way. At a recent WWE house show, they did an injury angle, but it was not legit at all.

Some outlets are reporting that Kevin Owens had an injury scare, or close-call, at a recent house show in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This was all part of the show.

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn worked a match against the Usos, but Owens didn’t finish it. He left the match mid-way through while selling his ankle. Later on in the night, he returned and did a run-in during the Cody Rhodes vs Solo Sikoa match.

Kevin Owens was still selling his injury, because he’s a professional wrestler. He understands storytelling, and that’s what fans saw.

The next night in Toledo, Ohio, they ran the exact same show, complete with Kevin Owens running in for the save at the end of the night. Kevin Owens was fine the entire night in Ohio.

WWE actually ran another injury angle during a house show a couple of weeks ago with Cody Rhodes. He came out and said he wasn’t medically cleared after his beat down from Brock Lesnar, only to get jumped by Judgment Day.

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are set to defend the Undisputed Tag Team Titles against the Usos as the WWE Draft kicks off on April 28th. We’ll have to see who leaves draft night with title belts, but Kevin Owens is fine.
