Mercedes Moné Drops Hint at Possible Faction with AEW Regulars

Former IWGP Women’s Champion Mercedes Moné hinted at the possibility of forming a new STARDOM faction with the Renegade Twins, who are regulars in AEW.

After losing her NJPW/STARDOM title to Mayu Iwatani at All Star Grand Queendom, Moné has left fans speculating about her future. She has confirmed that she will make her NJPW return on May 21, at the Resurgence event in Long Beach, California.

Ahead of her return, Moné has taken to Twitter to tease a new faction with the Renegade Twins. The former WWE star retweeted a photo of the twins captioned “Perfect for my STARDOM faction”.

The Renegade Twins have been a staple on AEW Dark and Dark Elevation since May 2021, also competing for ROH. Robyn Renegade recently went up against Willow Nightingale on the April 20 episode of ROH TV, while the twins held the NWA Women’s Tag Team Championship in February.

It remains to be seen what will come of Moné’s new STARDOM faction, but it is clear that fans are excited about the possibilities.
