WWE is preparing to hold another two-night draft event, and they will get a lot accomplished. Just like in previous years, WWE Superstars have no idea about their Draft destination, but a bigger question is how much of a say Vince McMahon will have in things.
Ringside News exclusively reported a couple of weeks ago that Vince McMahon has had no say in the 2023 Draft at that time. Then again, it’s still his company, so Mr. McMahon could always swoop in whenever he wants and switch things up. We also exclusively reported that the 2023 WWE Draft had no bearing on Vince McMahon’s return to the company, or vice versa.
Ringside News reached out to ask if Vince McMahon has put his two cents into the 2023 WWE Draft yet. We were told that “if he has, it hasn’t been shared with the writing team.”
There is also doubt that any Vince McMahon contribution would be shared with the creative team. It was further suggested that if Vince McMahon weighs in, “it’ll be to Triple H, Bruce Prichard, or Ed Koskey.”
The WWE rosters will look very different once the 2023 Draft is over. The yearly shake-up will create new matches and angles that WWE has planned for the rest of the year. Only time will tell if Vince McMahon takes over the reins of creative from Triple H. At this point, Triple H is still the company’s Chief Brand Officer, and there’s no sign of that changing.
There are quite a few names missing from the 2023 WWE Draft. You can check out that list of Superstars here. We also know the Draft destinations for a few Superstars, and you can check out those spoilers here.
