Ring of Honor World Television Champion Rey Fenix is currently taking some time off to rest and heal after reportedly suffering from some injuries.
According to PWInsider, Fenix has not appeared on any AEW Dynamite tapings since Battle of the Belts IV on April 7. Sources within the wrestling industry revealed that the luchador is currently nursing some injuries and is in need of rest.
Although there is no specific injury that was mentioned, one source noted that Fenix was hurting after Battle of the Belts and was in need of some time off. Another source believed that the injury may have been related to his hip.
It’s currently unclear how long Fenix will be out of action, but his appearance at Chicago’s AAW on May 6th will probably be his first appearance inside a ring. Fenix is currently advertised to face Gringo Loco for the event, which could indicate that he will be back in action soon.
Fenix’s absence from AEW programming will certainly be felt, as he has been a prominent member of the roster since the promotion’s inception. However, his health and well-being should always be the top priority, and fans will undoubtedly look forward to his return to the ring once he’s fully healed and ready to compete again.
