Hulk Hogan is an undisputed legend in professional wrestling, having solidified his status as a superstar in the 80s and 90s. However, Hogan wasn’t always liked by his peers for a multitude of reasons. He was also involved in a scandal with Gawker a while ago and it appears the scandal will be featured on a TNT programming.
For those who don’t know, the second season of TNT’s Rich & Shameless program will begin on May 7th, which will be covering Hulk Hogan’s legal battle with media outlet Gawker.
Hogan, real name Terry Bollea, filed a lawsuit against the media outlet in 2013. This was three years before the verdict was given, where Hulk Hogan filed a lawsuit against Gawker for posting portions of his adult tape.
The lawsuit was against Gawker, several employees, and the company’s affiliates. A portion of that tape revealed the infamous racist remarks that led to WWE cutting ties with Hulk Hogan.
The jury voted in Hulk Hogan’s favor and resulted in Gawker being held liable and thus, Hulk Hogan was awarded over $120 million in damages by the court. You may read the synopsis of the show below.
