AEW has a few injuries on their roster, but Thunder Rosa’s absence created quite a hole in the women’s division. She was their women’s champion at the time of her departure, and now there is concern that her issue might need to be repaired surgically.

Thunder Rosa has been around AEW in recent memory, but she’s been relegated to the Spanish language commentary booth. Sean Sapp dropped a note about Thunder Rosa behind Fightful’s paywall. It was noted that she is still not medically cleared. On top of that, there is now a fear that surgery might be needed to correct her back issue.

Thunder Rosa is a former AEW Women’s Champion, so the company obviously wanted to push her. Sadly, she went out of action, and there could be even more time off in her future if a surgery is required.

Hopefully, Thunder Rosa can avoid going under the knife. We will continue monitoring this ongoing situation here at Ringside News.

What’s your take on Thunder Rosa’s run in AEW? Do you think she will return to become AEW Women’s World Champion again? Sound off in the comments!
