Former WWE Superstar Real1, also known as Enzo Amore, recently spoke about his exit from MLW during an interview with WhatCulture Wrestling.
According to Real1, he was written off MLW television on his own accord, and he chose to put over Microman on his way out. Real1 explained that he felt it was important to put over a worthy opponent before he left MLW.
“If I have to put somebody over on my way out the door, he better be somebody. He better be a badass, and he better be able to kick some people’s asses, so that guy was Microman.”
For those not aware, Microman is the smallest pro wrestler in the world and also the biggest star in MLW.
Real1 went on to say that he felt it was the right thing to do to leave on his back. He said,
“It was a stretcher job, I left on my back. That was probably the last you’re gonna see of me in MLW for the time being.”
Real1 was released from MLW earlier this month, and rumors suggest that he declined the company’s creative plans and was not willing to work with their top talent. While he did not address the rumors specifically, Real1 did confirm that he left MLW on his own terms and was not told to leave.
It is currently unclear what Real1’s future plans are following his departure from MLW. However, he has been active on social media, promoting his own merchandise and teasing a return to wrestling. Fans will have to wait and see where Real1 ends up next and who he will face in the ring.
