Naomi and Sasha Banks walked out of WWE in May 2022, and they didn’t look back. Since Mercedes Mone ended up in Japan, many assumed that Trinity Fatu would go with her, but now a new interesting development has surfaced.

It seems that the former Naomi wanted to trademark a new name for herself. She laid down a trademark filing for Trinity Starr on March 20th. It seems that something got in the way of that.

Public records indicate that Naomi has now abandoned the Trinity Starr trademark. This was executed on April 15th, 2023, not even a month after it was filed.

Trinity was at ROH Supercard of Honor, but she hasn’t really been seen elsewhere since her WWE walkout, except for a few red carpets.

Language in the abandoned trademark filing said that it would be for, “G & S: Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestling and sports entertainers; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, televised appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Providing online interviews featuring a professional wrestler and sports entertainer in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes.”

It seems that Trinity Starr was her intended name, but for some reason the former Total Divas star decided to give up that moniker. It is unknown why she would do this, but WWE fans will always be hopeful that they will see Naomi back on television again soon.
