WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley is considered a legend in the pro wrestling industry. Mick Foley worked in other companies and also worked with numerous top stars in the industry. Being a veteran, it comes as no surprise that Foley has his own fair share of regrets. Now it appears Foley finally revealed his regrets to the world.
Throughout his illustrious career, Mick Foley has been responsible for creating numerous iconic moments in WWE history. From his death-defying plunge off the top of the Hell in a Cell structure at the hands of The Undertaker to his introduction of the unforgettable sock puppet to Mr. McMahon during his hospital stay, Foley has always given his all.
The Hardcore Legend truly made a name for himself by putting his body on the line for the entertainment of fans. It has come at the cost of his physical well-being, something that Foley does regret.
While speaking on his Foley Is Pod podcast, Mick Foley looked back on his long career and revealed two massive regrets that he wished he never did. Foley revealed that he wished he never hit elbow drops on the concrete in non-televised matches. In addition to that, Foley wished he never took so many unprotected chair shots to the head.
“I never liked the fire. I did it. I never felt comfortable with it. Looking back, there were two things he would not have done in his career:
So I could have done things that were healthier, but then I’m not the guy who got to the dance. You know, those were the things that brought me there. I wish I had not dropped elbows on the concrete in non-televised matches and used it less on TV also, and I wish I’d brought up the hand because here was no correlation to me between guys who blocked or did not block chair shots and guys who got over big time, because the guys who were the biggest stars in the business did block the chairs, and no one thought any less of them.”
Mick Foley truly gave his life to the pro wrestling world and he would do it all over again. For all the sacrifices that he made over the years, Foley has won the love, respect and adulation of many and that’s all that matters to him.
