Lita’s Current WWE Status After Trish Stratus’ Heel Turn

WWE has a lot of plans for the future, but they don’t have room on the show to keep everyone around. It seems that Lita’s return to WWE was short-lived, because she is already done with her latest run in Vince McMahon’s company.

Lita was supposed to defend the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles alongside Becky Lynch, but she didn’t make it to the match. Trish Stratus filled in, but lost those titles. Then Trish turned on Becky and set up their next program, leaving Lita injured backstage.

PW Insider Elite noted that Lita is off WWE television at this point. The creative team doesn’t have anything for her now, so it seems that dose of nostalgia is over.

Lita has not been at any TVs since she was “attacked” backstage at Raw.  We haven’t heard of any plans for her to be used going forward at this time, but one would think she’ll be involved in the Trish Stratus story down the line. No one has told me this is the plan but Trish vs. Lita as a nostalgia attraction fits into what Saudi Arabia usually wants for those PPV events, so we will see if they go in that direction as creative plans are locked in.

WWE has plans for Trish Stratus and Becky Lynch. It seems that Lita’s time in WWE is over for now. After all, she was jumped backstage, so they might just have her sell that attack until she returns.

It was nice to see Lita return to WWE television, but it seems that her time is done for now. At least it seems that Trish Stratus will be back around to face Becky Lynch down the line.
