Vince McMahon is the Executive Chairman of WWE and is one of the most controversial names in the pro wrestling business. That said, McMahon is also someone who does what he wants and revels in doing just that. Now it appears that McMahon allegedly changed up plans just to mess with fans.

In the lead-up to the highly anticipated Champion vs. Champion match between Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey at the 2018 Survivor Series pay-per-view, the brand warfare between RAW and Smackdown certainly set the world on fire.

Becky Lynch led the charge as Smackdown invaded RAW before Survivor Series. Lynch was fighting numerous RAW Superstars in the ring, which included Nia Jax. Unfortunately for her, Nia Jax ended up legitimately breaking Lynch’s face, leading to a broken nose and a concussion.

During the 2018 Survivor Series event, the traditional women’s elimination tag team match saw the RAW and Smackdown competitors duke it out in the name of brand warfare. In the end, Nia Jax was the sole survivor for RAW but that was not the original plan.

Unsurprisingly, Nia Jax was public enemy #1 at that point in time. While speaking with Ring The Belle, Nia Jax revealed that the original sole survivor for Raw was set to be Sasha Banks. However, Vince McMahon went for Jax instead just to mess with fans.

“I believe it was supposed to be Sasha, she was supposed to be the sole survivor that night. We were in rehearsals, it was before doors opened, and the producer came out and said, ‘Vince changed it, Nia over’.

It was the moment, I was still trending and that crowd hated me, oh they went nuts when I came out. So Vince was like, ‘No, Nia over’. It was a cool thing but it was one of those moments where I’m like, ‘s**t.’”

Nia Jax also recalled freaking out after breaking Becky Lynch’s face. Nia Jax is also leaving the door open for a WWE return in the future. We’ll have to wait and see whether Jax will return to WWE one day.

What’s your take on what Nia Jax said? Are you surprised Vince McMahon made the change in plans? Sound off in the comments!
