Mickie James was Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion for a while, but then she was forced to relinquish her title. That was a sad day for fans, and then she started a hiatus due to injury.
Mickie James was injured, but Fightful Select noted at the time that, “We’re told that doctors had originally told Mickie James she could miss several months with her injury. Despite that, she still made sure to make her convention dates this month and the DressleMania project.”
While speaking to PW Mania, Nick Aldis went into some detail about his wife, Mickie James. He said that Mickie is doing much better, and it seems her return to action might be far sooner than some fans anticipated.
“She is doing well. I wouldn’t want to put a number on it percentage-wise. She is certainly not in any pain or discomfort anymore with her rib. It was just in a very awkward spot which made it difficult to heal and made it difficult for her to avoid aggravating it so it took a bit longer than we anticipated for it to heal, but now it looks good and looks like she’ll be cleared within weeks.”
Hopefully, Mickie James isn’t out of action for long. She worried a lot of fans that her retirement was close after leaving her cowboy hat along with her Knockouts Title in the ring. It seems that was a misread retirement message.
