Andrade El Idolo Was Backstage At WrestleMania 39

Andrade El Idolo debuted in AEW in 2021 following an uninspired run on the WWE main roster. Unfortunately, his run in AEW turned out to be a disappointment following a lot of questionable booking decisions. He has been absent from AEW television due to injury for a while now. While Andrade remains absent, it appears he was present backstage at WrestleMania 39.

It was revealed that Andrade had suffered an injury and had to undergo surgery. Andrade El Idolo ended up tearing his pectoral muscle during a trios tag team match on House of The Dragon special edition of AEW Dynamite back in August last year.

Andrade El Idolo was also involved in a backstage altercation with Sammy Guevara last year and things simply went haywire for AEW during that time. Thankfully, things are much better now.

As fans know by now, Andrade El Idolo is married to Charlotte Flair. While speaking on the BONUS Mailbag episode of Keepin’ It 100, Konnan revealed that Andrade was present backstage at WrestleMania 39 along with Ric Flair, to be there for Charlotte Flair before her match against Rhea Ripley.

“Did he go out with his daughter? Because I saw him backstage with her. He was backstage with her before the match [at WrestleMania 39], [and] so was Andrade.”

Andrade El Idolo’s AEW contract is also expiring soon. That said, he is still working hard to make his in-ring return on AEW television. Only time will tell whether Andrade will return to AEW or end up going back to WWE to join his wife.
