Major League Wrestling has been the home to numerous talented professional wrestlers who wanted to break into the industry and hone their craft. This includes Richard Holliday, who took an extended break due to medical reasons. Now it appears he has confirmed his free agent status after departing from the company.
Richard Holliday was away from Major League Wrestling for numerous months after he announced that he was being treated for Hodgkin’s lymphoma in December last year.
Back in February this year, Richard Holliday announced that he completed his cancer treatment process and that he was on the road to recovery. Naturally, fans were very happy to hear this news.
On April 19, MLW CEO Court Bauer revealed that Richard Holliday was a free agent, noting that his contract had expired while Holliday was undergoing treatment for Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Holliday finally took to Twitter today and confirmed that he is indeed a free agent.
I can confirm. I would like to thank Court Bauer and the entire team/locker room at
@MLWA tremendous experience for me lasting nearly 5 years.
My first match there was a dark match, and my last was a main event. Thankful for everything in between.
Court Bauer also recently confirmed that MLW will be going live this year. Perhaps fans might get to see Richard Holliday make his triumphant return in the future, as he had proven to be a fan-favorite during his time in MLW.
