Booker T Believes NXT Should Add A Second Women’s Title

NXT has gone through numerous changes over the past couple of years, especially when it comes to the brand’s overall presentation and focus on younger talent. This was especially the case after Triple H and Shawn Michaels took over the reins. Now it appears that Booker T believes NXT should add a second women’s title to the brand.

NXT’s women’s division is certainly flourishing right now, with the likes of Cora Jade, Roxanne Perez and others being weekly highlights on NXT television. Even current NXT women’s Champion Indi Hartwell is one of the most beloved Superstars in the brand.

While speaking on The Hall of Fame with Booker T & Brad Gilmore podcast, Booker T discussed the possibility of having a second women’s singles championship in NXT. Booker T stated that would be a good move for the developmental brand as there are currently only two titles available for women to compete for in NXT – the tag team titles and the women’s title.

The WWE Hall Of Famer stated that he believes with the number of talented women in NXT, adding another championship would be beneficial for launching their careers.

“I don’t see that being a bad thing just because right now they just have the tag team championship and the singles championship. The thing is, you have so many ladies in NXT right now that perhaps need that belt, that television championship to launch their career a little bit.”

With the current women’s roster in NXT being a stacked one, perhaps the introduction of a new title is exactly what the division needs. Regardless, only time will tell whether the division ends up getting a new title.
