AEW has an eclectic roster full of talent from all walks of life. MJF might have been born with a silver spoon in his mouth, but he certainly faced his share of roadblocks along the way. He is very proud of his Jewish heritage, and it means a lot to him that he can represent them on national television.
While speaking to Fightful, MJF was asked how much it means to him that he can represent Jewish people on AEW television. MJF dropped his heel act for a moment to speak candidly on the subject. Of course, he had to tie it all back around to reminding fans how much of a heel he can be.
I mean, full transparency, growing up, I did not … there were two types of Jews on television or movies. It was either really fat, money-hungry or really feeble, like ‘please don’t hurt me.’ So, for people to have a Jew to watch on tv that represents them that’s handsome and cool and charming and witty and intelligent and very humble, I think is so important.
MJF wasn’t all nice during his recent interview. He also went on a profanity-filled rant about how he could destroy Britt Baker in the ring.
MJF went through a lot to make it in the pro wrestling world, more than some might realize. He has been very open about his tribulations in the past, the Salt of the Earth didn’t have to make any of that up either.
We’ll have to see what’s next for MJF, because he is certainly rising above any glass ceiling that anyone might have wanted to put above his head throughout his career. For more on MJF and the rest of the pro wrestling world, stay tuned with us at Ringside News.
