Adam Page has established himself as a cornerstone of AEW’s television programming since he was one of the first talents to sign with the company in 2019. He has earned a loyal fan base due to his relatable and compelling character work, which sets him apart as a fan-favorite. He was criticized for his previous comments, where Page stated that he doesn’t take advice from veterans.

Last year, Adam Page was dragged by many when he stated that he did not take advice from veterans in the AEW locker room. Jim Cornette in particular did not hold back when it came to his opinion about Page.

Not only that, but CM Punk lambasted Adam Cole during the post-AEW All Out media scrum for Page’s previous comments. Needless to say, there is no love lost between the two AEW stars.

It was reported that AEW is trying to plan out CM Punk’s return and it will be on the upcoming AEW Collision show. In light of this, Adam Page recently took to his Instagram story and unloaded a post, where he finally responded to criticism about his comments about not taking advice from veterans.

Adam Page clarified that reports claiming he doesn’t take advice from veterans are greatly exaggerated. The Anxious Millennial Cowboy went on to state that he would never dismiss advice from any veteran.

the reports that i ‘don’t take advice’ have been greatly exaggerated, perhaps by no one more so than me. advice and feedback, particularly from those who have come before, have always been and always will be welcomed and appreciated. my self-deprecating and dry insistence otherwise just comes from a place of being more personally interested in wrestling as an art than a sport. it would’ve been hollow for picasso to try to paint a mona lisa.

i kinda thought i’d have been asked about it by now and could’ve clarified. i just wouldn’t want any of the older generation, especially those whose work with us is vital and unknown to fans, to feel that their wisdom is dismissed.

i am also still in search of the cheese puffs. let me know if you find them. thank you.

Adam Page has been engaged in a feud with Jon Moxley and the rest of the Blackpool Combat Club members for the past few weeks. It remains to be seen how AEW will continue to book their feud as we head towards AEW Double Or Nothing.

What’s your take on what Adam Page said? Do you believe he really takes advice form veterans? Sound off in the comments!
