Nia Jax made a surprise appearance as the 30th entrant in the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble match. However, she didn’t last long and was eliminated after just two minutes by a group of eleven women.
In a recent interview on the Ring The Belle podcast, Jax revealed that it was WWE producer TJ Wilson who had pitched the idea for her to be in the match. Jax recalled receiving a call from the WWE office about her being a part of the Rumble.
“I get a call from the office and they were just like, ‘Hey, so, we are planning to have you in the Rumble’ and I was like, ‘What? Are you asking me or are you telling me? What?’”
She went on to say that she loves working with Wilson and that he had been a big help in making her who she is today. Jax said that she was excited to be part of the Rumble and immediately got in touch with her gear and boots makers to expedite the process.
“I was like, ‘Let’s do this, let’s go’ and I called up my gear people, I called up all the boots people, my boot maker and I was like, ‘Listen, we gotta expedite this.’
She also spoke about her disappointing performance in the match and how she wants to forget it. Despite her quick exit, Jax’s appearance in the Rumble was a surprise for many fans, and it will be interesting to see if she will have any more appearances in the near future.
