WWE has a roster full of Superstars, all hungry for more time on television. That being said, some people seem to disappear, no matter how much fan support they have.
Aliyah hasn’t been around WWE for a long time. The 28-year-old hasn’t wrestled a match since dropping the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles in September last year. She’s still active on social media, uploading videos of herself working out and horseback riding, but she’s not showing up to television tapings.
Ringside News exclusively reported in November that Aliyah isn’t injured, as she was training hard for her comeback. She has also not withheld her injuries in the past. She is now cleared to return, but there is no sign of her on television.
We reached out to follow up on Aliyah’s status months later. She still has not returned to WWE, she isn’t injured, and she is actively posting on social media. We were told that Aliyah’s name is not discussed in WWE creative meetings at all. At this time, nobody knows what her status is, but she’s not being used.
This news might disappoint her fans, because she has received support from those diehards since her Breaking Ground days. She worked hard for years in NXT and finally received her main roster call-up only to have the rug pulled out from under her.
Hopefully, Aliyah will find her way back to WWE programming soon. She could fill a valuable position on the roster if given the opportunity.
