Dolph Ziggler is a mainstay on WWE television, and he truly loves the pro wrestling industry no matter what. Being part of the mainstream, Dolph Ziggler is well aware of what stars industries want from WWE. Now it appears that Ziggler wants a best-of-three series with Conor McGregor.
WWE was officially sold to UFC’s parent company Endeavor earlier this month and it made fans wonder whether they would ever get to see a cross-over event between the two promotions.
Conor McGregor’s success in the Octagon is well-documented, as he is the only man to hold championships in the lightweight and featherweight divisions simultaneously. He has hinted at appearing in WWE on numerous occasions, which is why fans wondered if he will ever go to WWE.
While speaking to TMZ Sports, Dolph Ziggler talked about possibly squaring off against Conor McGregor. The Showoff revealed that he wants a best-of-three series with Conor McGregor.
“Yeah, WWE and UFC, and he’s called us out a couple of times, so I appreciate that, and I can go a little bit, so I would still do it. Make it a best-of-three, octagon, boxing match, wrestling, fighting, WWE. Then set it all up for the [best-of-three] at WrestleMania. I mean, that’s just where the money is, but not everybody can go and back it up, but some of us can.”
Conor McGregor is set to square off against Michael Chandler in his return fight. Regardless, we will have to wait and see whether McGregor makes his way to WWE in the future.
