Cody Rhodes became a big deal after returning to WWE last year at WrestleMania 38. It was very apparent that Rhodes was destined for superstardom as he headlined this year’s WrestleMania against Roman Reigns. However, he was defeated by Reigns and this crushed fans. Now it appears Eric Bischoff is concerned about WWE Creative after Rhodes’ loss.

The American Nightmare challenged Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 39 Sunday. Fans all over the world believed Rhodes to be the one to finally dethrone Reigns.

However, that was not the case as Roman Reigns won the match after numerous interferences from The Bloodline. Cody Rhodes’ loss knocked the wind out of fans and peers alike – with opinions largely being divided about the decision.

While speaking on his 83 Weeks podcast, WWE Hall Of Famer Eric Bischoff talked about Cody Rhodes’ loss at the Show of Shows. Bischoff expressed concern about WWE Creative after the loss, hoping that Creative doesn’t lose momentum.

”I’m a little concerned about what’s gonna happen in WWE, creatively. Everybody was talking about ‘WrestleMania, WrestleMania, WrestleMania. Cody/Roman, Cody/Roman, Cody/Roman,’ I was excited about that as well, but I was more excited, truthfully, about where WWE was going to go after WrestleMania, because to me the stage was set, there was so much great story there. It was like watching the Kentucky Derby, where my favorite part of the Kentucky Derby is when they bring the horses into the paddock, they’re fired up, ready to go, they just want to frickin’ run, but you gotta get them into that starting gate.

That’s the way I felt about WWE creative going into WrestleMania. I’m hoping the WWE doesn’t lose creative momentum. I think it’s time for WWE creative to evolve.”

Road Dogg recently stated that Cody Rhodes defeating Roman Reigns wouldn’t have been smart business. Others feel that Rhodes should have beaten Reigns and now it will no longer matter whether Rhodes becomes champion in the future. Regardless, only time will tell how Rhodes will defeat Roman Reigns in the end.

What’s your take on what Eric Bischoff said? Do you think WWE Creative will struggle to craft storylines? Sound off in the comments!
