WWE Backlash is going down in Puerto Rico on May 6th and fans are likely to see a big show after WrestleMania. Of course, Night of Champions is also going down on May 27th, so that might take some of the shine off the show. That being said, some key matches are already in the works.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that WWE Backlash’s card is coming together. While the whole card hasn’t been announced, there are some key components that are shining through as big reasons to tune in.

For Backlash, nothing is official although Lesnar vs. Rhodes is the main event and it also looks like Bad Bunny & Rey Mysterio vs. Priest & Dominik Mysterio, Owens & Zayn & Riddle vs. Usos & Sikoa. Belair will defend the Raw women’s title soon against Sky, but that also could be on television and not on the PPV.

It was also noted that Trish Stratus vs. Becky Lynch is also likely. The match is happening, and while it was initially planned for SummerSlam, they already shot the angle on the RAW after WrestleMania.

WWE has a few options for their Backlash card. The company already has a sold out show in Puerto Rico on their hands, and Brock Lesnar vs Cody Rhodes could be the main event that big night. Only time will tell what they add to the show.

Fans in Puerto Rico have been wanting to get their own WWE event for years, and now they are getting just what they wanted. Bad Bunny’s inclusion on the show will also drum up a ton of interest from outside the pro wrestling world, which never hurts either.
