Don Callis reappeared on AEW television alongside Kenny Omega, and now he is in the mix once again. Although he is a manager, Callis was in the accidental line of fire recently.

The controversial pro wrestling manager wasn’t supposed to get busted open during AEW Dynamite last week, but it happened anyway. Don Callis accidentally smashed his head on a lighting rig, and it cut him down to his skull.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that Don Callis also suffered whiplash due to that injury. He also sustained a few cuts on the inside of his mouth.

Don Callis’ injury, besides the deep and long cut on his forehead above the right eye from falling into the lighting stand after taking a punch from Jon Moxley backstage, also included cuts inside his mouth and a few damaged teeth and some neck whiplash. The neck problems he’s had for 29 years from wrestling, dating back to a match in South Africa

Many fans don’t realize that Don Callis used to wrestle back in the day. Of course, he moved on from that part of the sport, but he remains a key factor in Kenny Omega’s storyline in AEW.

Hopefully, Don Callis is able to heal up and get back to business very soon. We’re sending our best to him from everyone here at Ringside News.

What’s your take on Don Callis’ injury during AEW Dynamite? Is AEW just a dangerous place to operate? Sound off in the comments!
