Mercedes Mone Faces Backlash For Comparing Herself As The ‘Female Rock

Mercedes Mone has worked hard to establish herself as one of the best female pro wrestlers in the world right now. She became a huge deal after walking out on WWE and finally debuting in NJPW earlier this year. That said, she recently called herself the female version of The Rock and now it appears she got brutally dragged by fans for calling herself that.

Mercedes Mone is currently the IWGP Women’s Champion after beating KAIRI for it back in February. Afterwards, Mone’s stock only continued to rise with every passing week, especially thanks to her numerous interviews.

Recently, the former WWE Superstar chose violence in a big way as she called herself the female version of The Rock. While it was clearly just Mone portraying her role as a heel, fans did not really take kindly to this matter at all.

Numerous fans took to Twitter and brutally dragged Mercedes Mone for even daring to compare herself to The Rock. Many fans outright rejected the notion that she could be anywhere near The Great One.

Mercedes Mone is fairly confident in herself and while many applaud her for that, other fans believe she should know her place. Regardless, we’ll have to wait and see how Mone will fare in her next title defense.
