Santos Escobar is one of the most talented and charismatic wrestlers in WWE today. The former NXT Cruiserweight Champion has been making waves on SmackDown since he and his faction, Legado Del Fantasma joined forces with Rey Mysterio to form Latino World Order (LWO).

The LWO is a faction that pays tribute to the original group that was founded by Eddie Guerrero in WCW in 1998. The original LWO consisted of Eddie Guerrero, Hector Garza, Rey Mysterio, La Parka, and more.

Escobar recently spoke to WWE’s The Bump about what it means to him to be part of the LWO and how he wants to honor the legacy of Eddie Guerrero and the other members of the original group.

Escobar said that he sees the LWO as a way to represent Latinos in WWE and beyond. He said that Latinos are everywhere in music, movies, entertainment, politics, and social movements. He said that he wants to make Eddie Guerrero proud.

“I told y’all it’s time,” he said. “It’s time for Latinos to rise. You know what I mean? Like, politically, socially, demographically, culturally — music, movies, entertainment, everywhere. We are everywhere. And yes, we’re paying homage. Of course, we want to make [original LWO leader Eddie Guerrero] proud. Of course. But this is a whole new, different animal.”

Escobar said that being part of the LWO is important for him because it gives him a chance to carry on with what Eddie Guerrero and the other members of the original group did. He said that they paved the way for Latino wrestlers like him and that he wants to honor them. He also said that he has big goals in WWE, such as main-eventing WrestleMania someday and he feels like he’s on the right track with the LWO.

“To be a part of this reincarnation, reformation, regrouping of the LWO, it’s very important to me because I get to carry on with what they did,” Escobar said. “And I get to put my own sauce and my own salt and pepper on it. And I love that. We’ve discussed this before, what were my goals coming into the company? Of course, main event WrestleMania is one of them. And I feel like we’re on the right track, which is getting there, getting there, getting there, and to represent who you are, where you come from, and what you’re about. It’s a huge part of it, to connect.”

It looks like Santos Escobar and the new LWO is ready to take the WWE by storm. It will be interesting to see how they can add on to the legacy of the original faction. Stay tuned to Ringside News as we bring you similar stories.
