Sean Sapp reported behind Fightful’s paywall that Jeff Hardy is backstage at AEW Dynamite this week. This marks the first time Jeff has been around AEW since his DUI charge last year.
Jeff Hardy is backstage at tonight’s AEW Dynamite taping, according to AEW sources. Hardy has been away from All Elite Wrestling since June 2022 after he was suspended from the company after being arrested in Florida for a DUI charge. The following day, Hardy was suspended without pay from the promotion and was told that he could not return he finished substance abuse treatment.
It is important to note that it is “currently unknown if Hardy will appear on screen on tonight’s Dynamite, Rampage tapings or if he’s just there for meetings.” If Jeff Hardy returns, it could be a real shot in the arm for AEW.
It was also reported that NJPW team Aussie Open is at tonight’s AEW tapings in Milwaukee. Obviously, Jeff Hardy is the most exciting and surprising name backstage.
Jeff Hardy just had eye surgery. It’s unknown when he will return, but Matt Hardy is hopeful that will happen.
We’ll have to see if Jeff Hardy appears on AEW Dynamite this week. His return could be a huge event for the company. His DUI case is over, and although he can’t drive for 10 years, he can apparently get back to work.
