While speaking to ESPN, Israel Adesanya’s manager Tim Simpson stated that competing in a match in WWE is definitely on Adesanya’s bucket list in the future. That said, it won’t happen while Adesanya remains an active MMA fighter.
It’s on his bucket list, for sure. He wants to [do a match]. He’s been very disciplined. We’ve had acting opportunities turned down. He’s been very disciplined about being an athlete. Because he knows that’s all in his future. So, I can’t see him doing it while he’s still competing. But in the future? Definitely bucket list.”
Last year, Israel Adesanya paid homage to The Undertaker in a big way ahead of his fight. Adesanya truly loves professional wrestling and it would be interesting to see him in a WWE ring somewhere down the line. It remains to be seen when Adesanya will end up joining Vince McMahon’s company.
