Brock Lesnar’s WWE Opponent This Summer Is Not Who You Think

Brock Lesnar’s matched are always treated as special nowadays. Although he doesn’t always have the final say, Lesnar’s opponents are specifically chosen and approved by the Beast Incarnate as well. One big rumor is going around about Lesnar right now, but we must squash it.

It was previously reported by WRKD Wrestling’s Twitter account that WWE is considering Brock Lesnar vs GUNTHER this summer. This is a dream match that fans have wanted to see for a while, but they might want to keep dreaming.

Ringside News reached out to confirm the report about a possible Brock Lesnar and Gunther program this summer. We were told by a tenured member of the WWE creative team, who knows the plan for Brock Lesnar, that, “it’s not Lesnar vs Gunther.”

We were told that, “the writing team already knows SummerSlam.” That being said, “Lesnar not working with Gunther this summer.”

It was not confirmed to us who WWE has lined up to face Brock Lesnar this summer, but it is not GUNTHER. Only time will tell when the WWE Universe discovers Lesnar’s new rival in WWE, but it wouldn’t be a good move to put any money on GUNTHER at this time.

WWE did consider GUNTHER as Brock Lesnar’s WrestleMania opponent for a short bit, but then they landed on Omos. Lesnar also rejected a pitch to face Bray Wyatt at the showcase of the immortals this year.

We’ll have to see how WWE continues Brock Lesnar’s stories in the months to come. He is sticking around WWE, so the former UFC Heavyweight Champion will certainly have more matches than just Cody Rhodes at Backlash.
