WWE is the dream destination for practically every single pro wrestler out there. It doesn’t happen for a lot of them, and some have even declined an offer from Vince McMahon’s company. Bandido hasn’t arrived in WWE just yet, but it’s still a possibility.
After Bandido’s impressive match against Chris Jericho on AEW Dynamite in September, the masked luchador garnered interest from both AEW and WWE. He carefully weighed his options before ultimately signing a three-year deal with AEW.
While Bandido’s decision to sign with AEW may have disappointed some WWE fans, it’s clear that he sees potential in his current home. AEW has been making waves in the wrestling world, and they also afford him certain freedoms that WWE wouldn’t.
When Bandido signed with AEW, Dave Meltzer reported that his reason was that “he’s got a child in Mexico, and his significant other doesn’t want to move from Mexico, and he doesn’t want to not see his child all the time.”
While appearing on SO CATCH by Hal 2, Bandido was asked whether he would want to go to WWE one day. It seems that the chance is still certainly a real possibility.
“At some point, I’d like to go to WWE. Not in this moment, but I hope later. I was in WWE. They invited me to the Performance Center,” Bandido stated. “They give me a Camaro for all my week to drive. That was amazing. I made good amigos. Chris Hero, I saw him in the Performance Center, and now he’s a really good friend. I love you, amigo. He’s very nice.”
Bandido made waves in the pro wrestling world even before arriving in AEW. He was on a lot of fans’ radars for a while, but now he is starting to see the benefit from all that hard work with lucrative contracts that could result in a bidding war down the line.
What’s your take on Bandido’s chances in WWE? Would Vince McMahon know how to book him? Sound off in the comments!
