WWE has a draft coming up, and fans are excited about those possibilities. As WWE prepares to shake their rosters once again, we now have a bit more information about their planning process.
It was reported that the next WWE Draft will go down on May 8th in Jacksonville, Florida. The location of that event is interesting, considering how Jacksonville is also AEW’s home territory. That being said, WWE had time to plan this out.
Ringside News reached out to inquire about the upcoming WWE Draft. We asked how long this has been in motion, or if this was a last-minute plan from the powers that be.
We were told by a tenured member of the WWE creative team that they have been planning the next WWE Draft for “about a month now.” The plan could have been in place internally among Triple H and Bruce Prichard for a while longer, but the creative team has been pitching draft ideas and working out those rosters for about a month.
We’ll have to see how the rosters look this time next month. After all, the 2023 WWE Draft will be here before we know it. For all we know, fans might also see some people who haven’t made their debuts on the main roster yet, including signings that haven’t gone public just yet.
