Vince McMahon is reportedly not present at Monday’s edition of WWE RAW in Seattle, according to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer.
The 77-year-old former CEO returned to the company earlier this year after Endeavor merged with UFC and he was unanimously elected as Executive Chairman of the Board. This seemingly gave him much of his creative power back.
While McMahon was reportedly backstage for last week’s RAW after WrestleMania, which received negative reviews from the WWE Universe, he did not make the trip to this past Friday’s episode of SmackDown and is not expected to be at Raw tonight.
Despite not being physically present, Meltzer notes that Vince McMahon will still be working remotely during the show.
Vince isn’t at Raw live in Seattle. It’s not a big deal he’s still working via remote.
This news comes after a recent report that McMahon was reportedly unhappy with the way some of WWE’s creative decisions were being made and was taking more control over the product.
It remains to be seen how McMahon’s absence will affect the show, as he is known for his hands-on approach to the creative process. However, the WWE has a large team of writers and producers, so it is likely that the show will go on as planned.
McMahon’s continued involvement in the company will be an ongoing topic of interest for WWE fans. We will keep you updated if any information regarding Vince McMahon and tonight’s RAW episode becomes available.
