Cody Rhodes became a big deal after returning to WWE last year at WrestleMania 38. The sky was truly the limit for The American Nightmare, as he would go on to headline this year’s WrestleMania against Roman Reigns. While Rhodes lost the match, it seems he will be achieving a major career milestone very soon.

The American Nightmare challenged Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 39 Sunday. It was the biggest match of his career and many fans felt it was finally Rhodes’ time to shine.

However, that was not the case as destiny had other plans for him. Roman Reigns won the match after numerous interferences from The Bloodline. Cody Rhodes’ loss ended up crushing the soul of not just him but his supporters as well.

Be that as it may, Cody Rhodes is moving on and is clearly going to compete again soon. According to Wrestle Features, Cody Rhodes will wrestle his 1500th match in WWE when he competes in his next match. This includes all the matches Cody Rhodes had under the WWE banner, including his time as Stardust.
