Sabu is an ECW legend with a ton of respect in the pro wrestling business. He was innovative during his time in the ring, but he has not officially hung up his boots just yet. Sadly, we have rather troubling news to report, because Sabu had to pull out of an appearance due to a medical emergency.
Squared Circle Expo released a statement through their Facebook that said Sabu has been taken to the hospital due to a “serious medical emergency.” At this time, we are still waiting on specific details about his condition.
ATTN: Due to having a serious medical emergency while on the show floor, Sabu will not be appearing for the remainder of the Expo. He is currently in route to a local medical facility.
All pro photo op for the ECW pillars pro op and Sabu/RVD pro op will be refunded CASH IN HAND at the pro photo op at their scheduled times.
Our thoughts are with Sabu and all of his ECW colleagues at this time as we await for some hopefully positive news on his status.
Thank you for understanding
Sabu known for his high-flying, hardcore style of wrestling. He started his career in the late 1980s and gained popularity in the 1990s as a breakout star of ECW. Sabu is known for his innovative use of chairs, tables, and other weapons in his matches, as well as his trademark move, the Arabian Facebuster. Despite suffering numerous injuries throughout his career, Sabu continued moving forward. Sadly, he has hit this apparent roadblock.
We’re sending out our best to Sabu during this time. Obviously, this health episode was not in the plan. He has a ton of fans who are obviously concerned about him, so hopefully we can hear some positive updates from him soon.
What’s your take on this situation with Sabu? Have you ever met him in person? Sound off in the comments!
