Vince McMahon’s return to WWE saw a lot of changes, even though fans and talent alike were promised that he wouldn’t be making a return to creative. That certainly changed when Mr. McMahon took his seat on the company’s Board of Directors, and then he arranged a merger that saw him regain all of his creative power once again.

Vince McMahon walked into WWE RAW this week and he made sweeping changes. He slashed up the script and was making those alterations into the show as well. One change he made concerned Bayley, and this was a bit troubling for some people.

We previously reported that Bayley was not allowed to go out with Damage CTRL for their match on RAW. Damage CTRL lost that match, and fans thought the entire situation was a bit interesting, especially considering how dominate the stable has been over the last few months.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter went on to note that Bayley getting pulled from the segment was a Vince McMahon call. It is also believed that Vince might be breaking up the Damage CTRL stable, after all, he never saw much in IYO Sky or Dakota Kai.

In addition, Bayley was told not to go out with Kai & Sky. While not official, there was a belief Damage Ctrl was being broken up and a tweet from Bayley indicated that. Kai & Sky basically looked like enhancement talent in the presentation of the tag match.

The reaction was that Kai was one of the people fired by McMahon, who had no interest in her on the main roster, but she was brought back by Levesque. Similarly Sky, generally considered one of the most talented women wrestlers in the world, had been in developmental for three years with no sign of a call-up. She was headed back to Stardom most likely, where she would be home and where she could have made more money than in WWE developmental. But after McMahon was gone, Levesque brought her to the main roster and with that money being far above what those in Stardom could earn, she signed a new deal. There was also a strange segment with Seth Rollins where he was in the ring, and then said nothing and the segment was over.

Triple H brought a handful of Superstars back to WWE that his father-in-law fired. Those names include Dexter Lumis, Karrion Kross, Scarlett, Bronson Reed, and more. It will be very interesting to see if Vince McMahon shoves those names to the side as he continues.

Vince McMahon’s opinion on someone is hard to change once it is formed. While it’s possible that he could see something new in the people he fired months ago, odds are, he will continue viewing them as people he once fired that he does not want back.

We’ll have to see what happens in this situation. Vince McMahon’s return to WWE creative upset a lot of people backstage, and a couple of top Superstars are even prepared to request their releases from the company. Keep checking back with Ringside News for more on this ongoing story.
