Brock Lesnar has accomplished a lot throughout his two runs in WWE and even had a dominant run in the UFC. The world was shocked when news broke out that WWE was sold to UFC’s parent company Endeavor and this led to many wondering whether the WWE and UFC would ever have crossover events. Now it seems UFC fighter Gilbert Burns wants to slap Brock Lesnar in the face following the merger deal announcement.

After leaving WWE back in 2004, Brock Lesnar made his way to the UFC in 2008. He went on to win the heavyweight title in his third fight and utterly dominated the world of combat sports.

Brock Lesnar’s last UFC fight was back in 2016, where he defeated Mark Hunt. It was then made abundantly clear by Paul Heyman on numerous occasions that Lesnar would never step back into the Octagon.

While speaking during the UFC 287 press conference, UFC Fighter Gilbert Burns addressed WWE and UFC’s merger deal. Burns then made it clear that he wants to slap Brock Lesnar in the face for how Lesnar disrespected Daniel Cormier.

“I think both are huge companies that can help each other build even better marketing for each one. I think UFC can learn so much from the WWE and vice-versa, and it’s a good opportunity to slap Brock Lesnar in the face. I never met [Brock]. He’s lucky I never met him. I want to slap him because he cannot push DC [Daniel Cormier] like that when he came all the way there in the Octagon. I want to slap him in the face.”

Brock Lesnar surprised the world when he turned on Cody Rhodes during the RAW after WrestleMania this past week. This is because he will be working a long-term program with The American Nightmare going forward. That said, we wonder whether Brock Lesnar will ever end up competing in the UFC again. After all, Gilbert Burns definitely wants to cross paths with The Beast Incarnate.

What do you think about the potential for crossover events between WWE and UFC now that both companies are under the same parent company? Leave a comment.
