Vince McMahon returned to WWE and regained his seat as Chairman of the company’s board of directors. That being said, some people are not happy about how the merger with UFC is going down. That big deal has seen McMahon’s return to creative, and Triple H’s position is now suffering.

Triple H was relegated to “busy work” on WWE RAW this week, while Vince McMahon hacked and slashed the script, even making changes while the show was live. This led to a lot of frustration, as Vince McMahon wedged his way back into power once again.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer spoke about Vince McMahon’s return to power. He noted that Mr. McMahon could very well be in Portland for the show, where he could repeat his backstage performance from Monday.

“Either he’s coming to Portland (for SmackDown) and tearing up the show, or he’s, at worst, maybe gonna stay in Connecticut and be in the production meeting remote. In which case, he’ll probably have less tearing up of the show. But he’s there, and he’s the decision maker, and he’s number one. He’s number one, that’s it.”

It was also noted how Triple H’s duties have been diminished in a huge way. The Game simply doesn’t have the power that he used to.

“Triple H has gone from being ‘the guy’ to being basically what Paul Heyman was and what Bruce Prichard was before. Where they’re ‘in charge’, but everything gets overruled.”

We’ll have to see how this situation pans out. Obviously, there are a lot of worried people after Vince McMahon’s big return to power. Only time will tell how much Vince McMahon changes things from this point on, but a couple of top WWE Superstars are already prepared to request their releases.

What’s your take on this Vince McMahon situation in WWE? Do you think Mr. McMahon is ruining WWE? Sound off in the comments!
