What to Expect on AEW Dynamite (4/5): MJF Day, Four Title Matches, Tony’s Announcement

It’s time for another episode of AEW Dynamite. This week’s episode promises to be an exciting one, featuring four championship matches, a highly-anticipated contest between Sammy Guevara and Kommander, and a major announcement from Tony Khan.

The night is expected to start off with a bang as FTR’s Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler take on Austin & Colten Gunn for the AEW World Tag Team Championship. Should FTR lose, they will officially leave AEW, making this a match with high stakes for the former champions.

Also on the card is HOOK, defending his FTW Title against Ethan Page. The AEW Originals Chuck Taylor, Trent Beretta, and Orange Cassidy will be taking on The House of Black for the AEW World Trios Championship. Plus, Jamie Hayter defends her women’s world championship against the inaugural champion, Riho.

In one of the top grudge matches of the night, Ricky Starks takes on Juice Robinson. The two have a history stemming from an attack Robinson perpetrated on Starks after the latter’s victory over Chris Jericho at AEW Revolution 2023. Revenge is the name of the game for Starks in this match, while Robinson is looking to prove himself as a star.

MJF will also make an appearance on the show, celebrating “MJF Day” in his hometown of Long Island. The AEW World Champion has been given a key to the city, and fans have been given a strict code of conduct for the show.

Sammy Guevara will also take on Kommander in what promises to be a highly-anticipated contest. Guevara is looking to prove himself worthy of a shot at the AEW World Championship, and a win against Kommander could help him make his case.

The Acclaimed, Anthony Bowens and Max Caster, will also make a decision on whether they want to join the Jericho Appreciation Society. The Blackpool Combat Club will also speak out, just seven days after Bryan Danielson betrayed Kenny Omega and brought the group back to full strength.

Finally, Tony Khan will make a major announcement that he promises will be one of the most important things he’s ever announced in AEW. What could it be? Fans will have to tune in to find out.
