Becky Lynch’s growth as a WWE Superstar over the years is a well-documented one. Almost no one has worked as hard as her to improve her craft in the women’s division. She was also part of an iconic segment back in 2018, but it seems she does not remember the segment after Nia Jax legitimately hit her.

In the lead-up to the highly anticipated Champion vs. Champion match between Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey at the 2018 Survivor Series pay-per-view, the brand warfare between RAW and Smackdown was at an all-time high.

Becky Lynch led the charge as Smackdown invaded RAW just before Survivor Series. Lynch was brawling with several RAW Superstars in the ring, which included Nia Jax. Unfortunately for her, Nia Jax ended up legitimately punching Becky Lynch – breaking her nose and concussing her in a big way.

With blood pouring down her face, Becky Lynch continued to brawl with the RAW Superstars. Despite the concussion, Becky Lynch managed to finish the segment, which ended up jumpstarting her rise to superstardom.

While speaking with Upfront with Katie Hannon, The Man talked about the aforementioned segment. Becky Lynch revealed that she simply cannot remember the segment at all.

“I remember like taking that punch and going, ‘Oh, no.’ And then it all goes black with little parts interspersed here and there. And so, I kind of got up and I remembered what I was supposed to do, but my face was just covered in blood. And I rolled out because I had to get a chair and I remember seeing like trainers coming up to me and like somebody giving me a towel and wiping my face and throwing it back at them and then like grabbing the chair and then I don’t really remember.

But I do have images of me standing on top of the (…) because I hit all my marks, and then I ended up standing on top of the arena with the crowd going crazy and me acting like a bada** with my face covered in blood. And it ended up being one of those, for a lack of a better term, an iconic image in wrestling that I have absolutely no recollection of, really. I remember like walking out through the doors and meeting the security being like, ‘Where am I?'”

The segment simply showed that pro wrestling is a very unpredictable sport where anything could end up becoming a huge blessing in disguise for a particular wrestler. Becky Lynch will forever be grateful for the segment, even if she doesn’t have any recollection of it whatsoever.

What do you think about Becky Lynch’s recollection of the iconic segment in which she was legitimately punched by Nia Jax? Do you believe that the segment was a blessing in disguise for her rise to superstardom, or do you think she would have become a star without it? Leave a comment.
