WrestleMania 39 is over, and fans are still digesting what went down during this year’s showcase of the immortals. The company’s sale to Endeavor is also a popular conversation point, but you shouldn’t see the two as related at all.

Cody Rhodes was unable to beat Roman Reigns at WrestleMania Sunday, as a company sale was looming. Despite the fact that it might fit a certain narrative, The American Nightmare’s loss to The Tribal Chief was not connected with WWE’s new ownership.

Sean Sapp reported behind Fightful’s paywall that WWE’s decision to have Roman Reigns beat Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania had absolutely nothing to do with the company sale.

Roman Reigns is still the Head of the Table in WWE, and the company selling a majority interest to Endeavor did not have anything to do with this. Roman was winning this match against Cody Rhodes all along, but that won’t stop those conspiracy theory loving fans from spinning their own narrative.
