What Happened With Cody Rhodes After WWE WrestleMania 39 Concluded

Cody Rhodes’ stock only continued to rise since his injury return at the Royal Rumble back in January this year. His destiny was to finish the story at WrestleMania 39 by defeating Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. However, that did not happen as Rhodes lost the match. Now it seems fans got to see what happened to him after WrestleMania 39 went off the air.

The most anticipated bout of the night was the main event, as fans simply wanted The American Nightmare to finally end Roman Reigns’ awe-inspiring title run. Unfortunately, their hopes were dashed after multiple run-ins from The Bloodline.

In the final moments of the match, Cody Rhodes nailed two Cross-Rhodes on Roman Reigns. Just as he was about to hit a third, Solo Sikoa made his way to the ring wearing a hoodie. With some distraction from Paul Heyman, Sikoa was able to strike Rhodes and Reigns seized the opportunity to pin him and secure the victory. The show concluded With Roman Reigns holding both titles and standing tall over Rhodes’ lifeless body.

After the event went off the air, Cody Rhodes looked devasted in the ring while The Bloodline left. After pacing around the ring for a while, Rhodes slowly made his way to the back as fans gave him a standing ovation for his efforts.

Fans are certainly disappointed that The American Nightmare was not able to end Roman Reigns’ incredible run as champion. We will have to wait and see what the future holds for Cody Rhodes.
