The recent merger of WWE and UFC has created a buzz in the world of sports and entertainment, and now UFC President Dana White has spoken out about the move.
As part of the agreement, White will remain president of UFC, while Nick Khan will act as president for the wrestling side of the business. Vince McMahon will serve as Executive Chairman of the Board for the new company.
White expressed his excitement for the new venture and put over both Vince McMahon and Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel.
“I am excited to take this to another level. Vince is a savage in the wrestling space, Ari is a beast at what he does, and then add what we at UFC bring to the table and there is no limit to what this company can accomplish in the next five years.”
This merger comes after Zuffa LLC sold a controlling share of UFC to Endeavor for $4 billion in 2016, with Endeavor purchasing the remainder of the company in 2021.
As noted earlier, McMahon also expressed his enthusiasm for the new venture and mentioned that he’s looking forward to working with the Endeavor team.
“I, along with the current WWE management team, look forward to working closely with Ari and the Endeavor and UFC teams to take the businesses to the next level.”
With the powerhouse teams of WWE and UFC now working together, the possibilities for the future of sports and entertainment are limitless. Fans can look forward to exciting new developments and collaborations between the two companies as they embark on this new journey together.
